ORG Seminar with Herman Aguinis: What is scholarly impact?
What is scholarly impact? How should we measure it? How can we accelerate the impact of our research and teaching activities?
During this week’s ORGSeminar, Herman Aguinis (The George Washington University School of Business) who is currently serving as Academy of Management President discussed the “holy grail” of most academics – the desire to have an impact on different stakeholders including researchers, students, and society at large.
During his presentation and numerous one-on-one meetings, he shared his thoughts about the topic from decades of successful academic work. He pleaded for promoting impact beyond scientific impact. Thank you for sharing your insights!
The ORGSeminar is an open research seminar that is jointly organized by the Chair of Organizational Economics and the Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization.
The seminar aims to facilitate the regular scientific interaction between professors, postdocs, and Ph.D. students of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and national and international visiting scholars about current issues in organizational research.
